Welcome to Metsa Studio!
Mati Palm-Leis is a retired school educator and administrator, pursing his passion in painting. He resides off the grid in a small cabin with a tiny studio in central Wisconsin. His works are primarily landscapes and abstracts using acrylics and occasionally pastels. He is represented by 4 galleries in Wisconsin and Chicago.
Metsa is the Estonian word for Forest. In the early 1970’s his Estonian/American father purchased 100 acres of fields and woods to begin a career in farming. The cabin and his studio is located on this land.
